Choices Unlimited is underway again this year at Boswell Elementary. With the first classes for both grades 4 and 5 starting this past week, Choices Unlimited has hit the ground running.
“With this being my sixth year of teaching in the program, we are excited about this year as we start another 6 weeks of classes at Boswell Elementary this past week,” said Kevin Ranfeld, Children’s Director at Lebanon Family Church and Choices Unlimited instructor. “We are also working hard to expand Choices Unlimited into more grade levels within the Lebanon R-3 District. Administration within the district have been very welcoming as we expanded into Hillcrest and also the freshman class at Lebanon High School last year. We hope to continue further expansion this year as well.”
Choices Unlimited is committed to bringing awareness to the problems related to drug and alcohol addiction and violence. The program is designed to give students the tools they need to make wise choices related to these issues. “We believe one of the strongest ways we can help students is to open the door of communication about these topics between students and their parents. Partnering with parents is something we are working hard to do within the program,” stated Brian Hash, Pastor of Journey Christian and Choices Unlimited instructor and mentor.
